Reasons to Study Psychology at UNIE
Students are placed at the centre of their own learning process. They will have the opportunity to apply acquired knowledge and develop professional skills and competencies through hands-on experiences in simulated environments.
Through challenge-based learning, students tackle complex problems that closely reflect real-world situations they will encounter in professional practice.
From the first year onwards, students engage in simulations of real-life cases within university facilities, supported by professional actors. This allows them to put their knowledge into practice in a structured and realistic setting. Additionally, students have the opportunity to work with simulated patients from very early stages of their training, which represents an exceptional advantage for the development of their clinical skills.
These controlled environments enable students to build confidence and competence before applying their skills in real-world contexts.
The university organises activities such as expert panels and round tables, providing students with direct exposure to professionals working across different areas of psychology. Importantly, many of the professionals involved in teaching and training are actively working in the field, ensuring that students receive up-to-date, practice-oriented knowledge.
This approach helps students identify their true vocation, offering a comprehensive understanding of the various fields within psychology and their practical applications.
Students have access to up-to-date, industry-standard tools in the field of psychology, including:
- TEA Ediciones: Access to a wide range of psychological assessment instruments and scoring tools.
- DSM-5-TR: The internationally recognised diagnostic manual of mental disorders, fully available for student consultation.
- DSM-5-TR Clinical Cases: A practical resource that clarifies and analyses psychiatric diagnosis, with a focus on how diagnostic criteria have evolved from DSM-5®.
